The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel had 2 swimming pools, a small one and a bigger one that was quiet and excellent for doing laps. The rooms were spotless and tidy. This hotel represented excellent value for money and ideal for a relaxing break away from the busier East coast. The food was also excellent (I’m a vegetarian and they were only too happy to prepare any dish with different vegetables in place of meat / fish)
The only real con is the location. You would need a car/motorbike to see some of the sites on the island. But we saw this as a pro, as we wanted a relaxing break away from the hustle and hired our own motorbike.
This hotel was fantastic. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The beach is quiet and you can use free kayaks. The rooms are really clean and the double beds are huge. If you want a quiet, relaxing break – you won’t be disappointed if you choose this hotel. If you want more night-life then maybe look at the East coast which is more like a Greek resort town!
Hotel rooms, bungalows. Frontside bungalows: beautiful, never seen such little paradises on the beach.
Service and hospitality: TOP. Friendly and adequate.
Restaurant: Good food for a good price. Breakfast ok.
This beautiful resort is designed for people who love the Island Koh Samui and their people. A good place to relax and assimilate the environment. To enjoy the beach.
And the people of this resort do everything they can to reach your goal.
You need something: Ask them and they will help you.
We stayed here for 2 nights after having a horrible experience in Koh Tao. The staff at the Rajapruek are nothing short or amazing, they are so kind and helpful and you get such a comforting family feel about the place. The rooms were neat and tidy, the restaurant served great, afforable food. We used the hobie cat and the kayak – free of charge. We also requested a DVD player which they installed in our room straight away at no extra cost. We also hired the laptop which was great too. Overall the rajapruek is a fantastic getwaway. Right on the beach in Koh Samui, relaxing by the pool. This hotel has a great vibe and I would sincerely reccomend it to anyone!! Thanks for such a lovely time!!

honestly speaking we had the best time ever in our life and experience in this resort; very quiet and gorgeous location; excellent services; best performing pleasing and very kind and helpful staff; location is at its best for couples; beautiful beach and pool; just in one word WOW!!!
if any weakness would be ever said then it would be a great lie or being dishonest to ourselves
WOW!!if words could explain this we could try; amazing staff and hotel owners; it was just like a loving , beautiful, loving and honest family ;when met them we felt as we know each other for years and now we miss them and always will remember in our prayers for their honest love and care they give to us; its hard to find such people in the world esp on a holiday in a strange country;we would like to tell all the readers to please make it a point if you could stay there and see the gorgeous quiet and very exclusive beach and pool; beautiful banglows facing the beach and everything is very much nearby by motorbike for sightseeing in sumai and shopping and other attractive places;
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : the resort is at a gorgeous location; rooms are exotic and so is their beach and pool; staff and performance was excellent; very much near to everything if you need thru motorbike;
For our 40th wedding anniversary, we wanted a quiet place. We got the perfect resort! The beach was beautiful and quiet, the swimming pool was absolutely perfect for a swim late at night (just the 2 of us). We had a (very clean) room next to the pool, ideal! The staff was very friendly, we loved the restaurant where we had curry most nights. In other words, we would come back any day!
Truly a real gem, so delighted to have booked our honeymoon there. Staff were first class and so eager to please. Cleaning the beach was well received. To be able to mix and match at breakfast was really a treat. We will without question return there next year in May and in October. Fabulous place
We stayed here for 1 night on our way over to Koh Phangan. The rooms were of good size and very clean. We stayed in the main block but we took a walk onto the beach in the morning and the beach bungalows looked really nice. Beach was clean and sea looked really nice. Shame we only got to stay for 1 night. Good value for money also. Breakfast was nice too.
However the area is very quiet so if you are looking for something more lively this is not the hotel for you, but if you are looking for a quiet hideaway this is perfect.
If your idea of a relaxing holiday is amazing sunsets, wonderful hosts and a quiet stretch of paradise then this is the place to go in Samui. If you’re after touristy hustle and bustle with hawkers, beer bars and burgers please steer clear. There’s a reason the guide books say the west coast is undeveloped and long may it stay this way. Couldn’t praise the Rajapruek highly enough – everything was perfect and the staff were fantastic – no effort spared in providing a welcoming atmosphere. We can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend the beachfront bungalows for a special treat
We couldn’t have asked for more. Perfect setting, perfect accommodation, and wonderful staff. We can’t recommend it enough, and are planning our return! Only avoid if you’re after a busy nightlife you ll need a taxi ride.
Reservation service :
Very efficient, and good communication
We have arrived home safely after a wonderful stay at Rajapruek Samui Resort.
Our holiday was just as we wanted it to be with the help of your staff who were very attentive at all times, and we look forward to our next stay with you.
With our best wishes to you, your family and all of your staff.
“The beach front bungalows are definately the making of the perfect beach vacation if you are looking for a quiet setting. The ride from the airport is about 45 minutes and cost us 1000 baht; the ride back, arranged through the hotel, is a bit cheaper. The hotel is in a beautiful bay that has small waves when the tide is in. You can walk out a distance but also swim if you like. Don’t plan to see too many people around, there are only a few others places on the entire bay. We were only there for 4 days but did not leave the hotel at all, except to walk around the bay and use the free kayaks. It’s not near anything but the food is excellent and priced reasonably. The breakfast is very good and you get even more options if there are more guests.You can get a ride into town if you want and they offer to arrange any kind of trip. The staff is amazing; they anticipate your needs and then some. Must be a great wedding spot as there were two nearby in the one weekend.”
The beach itself is nice, but maybe not the most beautiful in Thailand. If you’re looking for endless white, soft, powdery beaches and crystal clear water, try the east coast. BUT you will never find the tranquility and calmness there, nor the same feeling of “untouched” Thailand without jet ski’s, vendors and thousands of tourists… A very romantic place in other words!
The breakfast is delicious, and the restaurant offer some nice thai food too. We never tried any of the nearby restaurants, but if you want some PROPER thai food, you really should go to one of the ladies across the street and about 100 meters down the road. They cook some reeeally tasty thai dishes for about 25% of the hotel prices, just by the small road.
The only thing I can think of that is worth thinking about, is that this place is very “off’-road”. To drive in to Nathon takes about 15 minutes, but the hotel offers motorbike rental for a small cost. I personally really appreciated that it was so secluded =)
All in all… Rajapruek is a GREAT place to stay at if you’re longing for a tranquil, relaxing vacation!!! A true gem!
Its been nearly 2 years since I stayed at Rajapruek with a close friend, to bring in my birthday, and this review has been LONG overdue. The reason for posting it now is because the resort is once again in our thoughts….for a repeat visit!
There are some things about this place that give it an edge over the competition (and there’s a lot around!).
The location is on the west coast of Samui, which is not as developed as the east (with the horror that is Chaweng) and is therefore relaxing, quiet and relatively “untouched”. Also, the resort is truly BEACHFRONT and west-facing, so you get amazing sunsets!
The property itself is small, family-run (and very efficiently at that!) and unpretentious. It does all the basic things really well and offers everything a sane person would need on holiday, for example, a pool (in fact, two), a bar (serving delicious cocktails!), good Thai food and a wholesome breakfast (included in the price). The best rooms are the Beachfont Bungalows, with only a little garden separating them from the sand, and their own beach beds and umbrellas. They have been recently renovated and have all the usual mod-cons….except a telephone (which is really the only major thing left to be desired).
Finally, the price….which (even for the best rooms) can only be called “a steal.”
I only wish there were more places like this, especially in my own country….

My fiancĂ©e and I spent one week at Rajapruek in December 2008, and to descibe it in one sentence – we had a WONDERFUL time! The rooms (we had one with the larger swimming pool right outside) were spacious, extremely clean and tidy, and nicely decorated with a big, comfy bed. Both swimming pools were really nice =)
